Description:
Half-tone lithograph shows a young blind man in the library for the blind in Stepney, London. He is carrying a large book in his left arm and holding the hand of a young girl who is standing to his right. Caption, at bottom, reads "Literature for the Sightless: A Library for the Blind at Stepney." The Stepney library was the first in London to establish a section devoted to books for the blind.
