Description:
Gold handled presentation cane; delicate handle stylized in shape of crooked tree branch; oval rose-gold plate inset in right side of handle, engraved "TO Hon. W.F. Bullock/FROM THE MEMBERS OF THE/BAR OF LOUISVILLE/Feb 26 1883"; left side of handle engraved with elaborate monogram, "WFB"; angular leafed vine engraved across top of handle to half a petaled flower bloom at base of handle on right; gold escutcheon ring at joint with cane shaft, decorated with wide relief rope flanked by two narrow ropes; black-enameled wood shaft tapers from 5/8" diameter at handle to 1/2" at mouth of socket of tip; nickel plated brass tip fitting with steel core.
