- Wooden chassis covered with blue-gray faux sharkskin and a textured black vinyl with black rubber corners; deck is a black plastic with bright aluminum panels; black and silver dials for volume, tone, and record level on bottom of deck along with track selection slider, and red record button; recording level gauge and analog index counter on left, lever for tape direction and fast forward button on right; two clear plastic AMPEX tape reels above removable black head cover; gray plastic tape speed selector: 7 1/2, 3 3/4, and 1 7/8 ips between reels; removable hinged lid; black rubber carrying handle on side; four rubber feet and internal speaker grill on bottom; locking plastic hatch on side for power cord and accessories; jacks in recess on side for external speaker, microphone, headphone, and auxiliary; nameplate reads "Solely for the use of the Blind, Serial #1694, American Printing House for the Blind," followed by the APH address. APH catalog number 1-0092; includes F-96 Sony microphone and stand, and earphone, head-clinging ribbon, APH headset adapters, and connecting cord in clear plastic pouch; cage on top of chassis holds components of the APH installed variable speed unit. A 21 p. "Sony-Matic TC-105 Owner's Instruction Manual" was also received with this accession.
